I got my unoa sist faceplate back from Gen today. Normally I'd be spamming you all with photos but I unfortunately don't have the wig I ordered for her over a month ago in a LeeKe group order and nothing here suites her at all. I'll post the preview pictures I got before she was shipped back to me however. I might try to take photos anyway depending on when I get the mermaid skirt and black and white one piece I ordered from Tanya Style (since I think the black dress would look perfect on her.
I should be sending Jomi (aeon flux of dive's seimei head) off to her shortly but I need to take pics of his old faceup since I want the same type of look for him. His current faceup is done by Sairin, and while ideally it should've never been touched.. the glue that held his eyelashes on ruined the underlashes, and the paint used on his lips were staining the resin (not to mention in a hideous color). Tried to remedy the lips myself but I just couldn't get the color I wanted right. I can use an airbrush, and it would've been easy if I got the color I wanted right the first time. The more I had to wipe it off the worse the original faceup got since the blushing, especially on the face was everywhere. Now he's lipless and everything else is still in tact for the most part but I rather not mess with him anymore. I can't find Mr. Super Clear anywhere and while I do have Mr. top coat around, it doesn't have the tooth MSC has and I really need that to work with.
I can imagine how upset some people (with the collectors mindset) could possibly be since I altered a Sairin faceup, but I'm this particular Seimei's 4th owner (that I know of), and he's not going anywhere. I probably killed his value but his head alone cost more than I paid second-hand fees for my complete L-bi and I figure I should be happy with him.
I probably won't post him in all his lipless glory until I get the after pics and do a whole comparison thing and all. I really need to get him some good permanent eyes before long. His eyewells will not hold eyes in for anything. The eyes are always constantly falling into the back of his head no matter how much putty you use. When I get some good ones they're getting hot-glued in.
Also I decided to do NaNoWriMo this year, I wanted to do it last year but it was half-way through November when I got the urge so I deceided not to. I'll be writing about the characters/story behind my SD sized dolls (Ivoine my kill-u sp and Jomi), it'll be norse mythology inspired, just like most of my dolls' names and hopefully writing 1,667 words a day for the whole of next month won't kill me. This month I'm going to try to get an outline done to make things easier on myself.
I finally got around to getting a livejournal account set up for those who don't want to join vox but want to read my weblog all the same. From now on I will cross post everything from here onto my livejournal account Heimdalalr, which name coincides with this weblog which is Götterdämmerung, which is the german word for Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods,or in otherwords the time the world comes to an end.

Almost all of my dolls have a name with a Norse mythology reference, save for Gonbe (Pipos Baha, named after a character in the anime "One Piece"), Jomi (Aeon Flux of Dive's Seimei, who is named after an anime character "Terra e") and Aish (U-noa Quluts 1.5 Sist) named after Aishwarya Rai, a famous Bollywood actress).

I found someone else to do my B-el and B-el madoromi/dozing faceplates, DOA user YamamuraTatsuya, after I go through the basics with her and get everything settled I'll be sending them off, sadly before my Sist gets done but what can I do about that really?
Seems like most of my paycheck will be going towards doll faceups. I'll be putting 50 aside for Aish to get done so whenever I get the PM from Lune I can send her off and not have to wait till my next payday. Then I'll also be shipping off 2 doll heads probably within a few days depending on how the correspondence goes.
I'm a bit disheartened already with the ebay user I bought August's issue of Hobby Japan magazine from. I used buy it now and paid immediately after DAYS ago and I just got a shipping notice 5 minutes ago that isn't even active yet (meaning it was probably shipped today). I expected to be getting it by today! When I sold things on ebay I shipped that stuff off as soon as people paid for it, not everyone is like that but still its not even a big package its just a rather thick magazine. I'm more peeved about it because its an ebay account of an actual brick-and-mortar store, not just some random person. Be more professional please!
I'm also still waiting for a wig and eyes from DOA user Aya Dear, which should be getting to me soon. Also waiting for the sweater I bought from Mio that I joined a group order to get. I ordered that sweater before I ordered the u-noa option parts which I got a long time ago. Mio is in very high demand and had tons of huge group orders (there were more than 12 people that I know of that were in the same order as I was..) so I was expecting a wait and there probably will still be one. Also waiting for the limited edition HG glass eyes that come with SD13 Cristal that I bought from Jenn which should also take a while.
I need to buy some gundam markers, and some water transfer film along with photo emulsion liquids to screen print with. I'm going to try to give Ivoine a tattoo on his back so I can use as an example so I can open up an aesthetics shop. I want to be able to do tattooing on dolls, so at least I'll have income to pay for the odds and ends such as eyes and wigs and the occasional faceup. It would be nice if they paid for themselves but I'm not pushing it lol. Also I need to finish saving at least 800 for Hrist (U-noa Zero Marion) and then work on getting Jomi his own body, Aish a mini supia body, or on Caelia the 43cm Narae I wanted long before the u-noa bug hit me. But then I still haven't settled on a skin tone for her...
I found someone who does airbrush faceups that had waiting list slots open! I really lucked out when I saw Lune of Nocturnelle had slots open. Aish needs a faceup badly and even if I did have the time (or more importantly the patience..) I don't think I would be able to achieve the look I want. Mostly I want Aish to be modeled after her namesake Aishwarya Rai the famous bollywood actress.
The main feature my unoa Sist lacks, which is the most important to resemblance is the eyebrows. She has the lips and eyeshape and getting eyes in that color is easy enough. I also want really nice, long, wispy under-eyelashes that criss cross for more of that elegant look and red lips that sort of fade out near the edges of the mouth.
I could achieve the effects of the lips, since lips to me are the easiest thing to do when it comes to faceups in my opinion. But I'm having trouble with the eyebrows and eyelashes. I mess up too often and the the MSC chips due to too many erasures... and then gotta start over. Its times like that when I think to myself "no wonder Mr Super Clear is so scarce!"
Sadly I don't know when my turn will be up! There are only 2 people above me but they are taking up 2 slots each. Faceup artists are a dime a dozen but all the good ones get over run quickly.

Type of head: U-noa Quluts Sist 1.5 default
Eyebrow: Black or very dark brown, elegant and arched (like Aishwarya Rai's)
Eye shadow: smokey dark eyes, slightly pink in the inner sides and turns grey or black as they go out.
Eye liner: black, there but not overbearing, slightly heavier on the top
Upper eyelashes: providing my own
Bottom eyelashes: black, wispy, criss-crossing
Lip: red center as if biting down on the bottom lips, color fades out on both sides.
Blush: slight pink blush on cheeks, to look natural not as if she were weren't makeup
Gloss: clear gloss on the lips and in the tear ducts.
Others: a small mole under the right eye, the exact location isn't important.

A girl who tries to get along well with everyone. Can blend in easily with any crowd but is secretly lonely since she can understand others but no one seems to understand her. Her only true friend is her cat, Gonbe, who followed her home one day and even though no one else can he seems to be able to understand her true feelings. She is a total showoff at school, generous and easy going and doesn't like letting people down at home she is lazy and worries too much about nothing.
Hopefully Lune can bring the image I have in my mind to life
Jenn (thesaraghina @ lj & DOA), is buying SD13 girl Cristal (on the left) and she ended up having to split for the body, wig and eyes since she just wanted the head. I ended up caving for the eyes which are HG 18mm pale purple with white lines. It will be a bit of a wait on these since the doll isn't even for sale yet. I don't know if either Jomi or Ivoine will use these eyes or if Hrist (the Unon I'm hoping for!) will sport them.
I also found the August issue of Hobby Japan magazine on ebay, it was about 8 dollars cheaper than what I paid for the September issue and since I paid for USPS priority shipping I'm assuming the seller is stateside so I can get it by Thursday/Friday of next week at the latest. I got some of the September issue scanned, the Unon/U-noa Quluts Zero faceup tutorial and a handy tutorial of how to make your own doll eyelashes. The lottery info for the Unon is being sent to a native Japanese citizen to translate since I don't have the confidence with my own skills for the sort. Once the faceup and eyelash tutorials are done they will be posted here, I also need to finish my series of airbrush tutorials but I may need to get a new fluid nozzle before then.
I also send a PM to a DOA user about a wig and eyes that are u-noa size, so that Aish, Esa or Frei might get a new look. I'm still looking for a faceup artists in that regards...
Need to order some MSC with my next check, I'm going to want to reseal Gonbe (pipos baha) soon after he gets home since I heard the paws get a lot of wear and tear. I'm glad he already comes with a face up, and that is was included in the price. I would probably be easier to give a cat a face than a human doll however. Getting him blank cost the same as with a face up so there was no way I was getting him blank.
I already wrote up his profile, which will go up when I have a picture of him to go along with it. He's going to be Aish's (u-noa sist) companion... after I give her a new face up that is.
When looking up personality traits for Gonbe's astrological sign (cancer) I also ended up looking up at lot about cats that I didn't know before. In real life I'm not a cat person at all, so it really shocked me that I fell hard for a ball jointed one. Personality wise he's not going to be like any cat I've ever met... but it really helped his profile write itself. (I even have a few photo stories in my mind as well)
I haven't taken any new doll photos in a while, so I'll be glad when Gonbe gets here ready for action, directly out of the box. No fussing around with wigs or clothes... thats probably what really pushed me over the edge about him. But until then, I'll be tiring out my Flickr account as well as the photo manipulations I have stored on my computer.
