Although this wig is slightly big the style and color are a lot better than Frei's tinybear wig.
I'll post these quickly since its an hour till I have to get ready for work.
I might be finding another way to post pictures soon though. Vox makes my thumbnails VERY low quality which kind of defeats the purpose of using vox for a photo-log. Its still much easier to add media than livejournal to create media-rich posts but what's more important? Quality or ease of use? Also I hate the fact that I need to put a title on all my images! ;~;
The eyes are Lusis defaults and are close enough to the color I planned but I need to buy some in glass or urethane at least and I need to get around to making some eyelashes. The wig is by tinybear (the color is cinnamon swirl) and the dress which I'm lacking good pictures of is by Yui of Tanya Style.
Since Gen already received my L-bi head a few days ago I really can't wait to see what she does to that! ;~; It will be more of a surprise this time though because I wasn't as detailed. I'm completely free of worry though. I almost wish I had more doll heads to send her.
So, the 3 tier preorder is like so:
- Send in postcard by first deadline (the 28th) and if there are more than 150 people who send it in, the preorder becomes a lottery.
- If you lose the first time you are automatically entered into the 2nd time, lose the 2nd time you're automatically entered into the third time.
- Since there are 150 max that will be given out each time, then there are 150+150+150 for the Dollybird 9 Unons, and 50 more if you include the Hobby Japan magazine lottery/preorder dolls (in which the winners for that will be announced on the 11th) meaning there will be 500 total Unoa Quluts Zero dolls in the world till whenever the next preorder comes to be.
My postcard is being mailed off tomorrow. But I have no idea how much buzz this doll is getting in Japan. Also since its a lottery Crescent Shop will not be handling it and only people who live in Japan or know someone trustworthy in Japan will have a chance. I wonder how many people there are who want one, and have the money for it, and have the connections/means to order one.
The postcard is not in simple Japanese. It asks questions. Basic things such as "what 3 articles did you like the most", "what kind of doll requests do you have for us?" and if you have any opinions on the magazine, and the spaces are big enough for a few sentences so I wouldn't take my chances on leaving them blank. I really had to make up some things for Reiji to fill in (which he has to translate to Japanese and then write it onto the postcard), but at least I'll definitely get my card in before the deadline. So I have 3 chances to win, and I'm done saving, and thats all I can really be confident about for now!
I finally got around to doing the "what-I-want-Frei's-faceup-to-look-like" private message to Gen. Usually I do some long formal write-up but I just haven't felt up to it and I only have a vague idea of what I want anyway. "Dark dramatic eyes and light colored lip" is just about it. I did have picture examples but really.. I didn't really ask for much. My B-el faceplates should be here by Tuesday by my calculations.. if not then definitely before Friday. I'm not really ready in terms of eyes and wigs but I'm still excited all the same.

The only problem is I go from not posting in days to posting 2-3 posts in one day. (Mostly due to the fact I'm using an extreme sub-par computer that lacks a space bar!)
I have some minor news today ( which gives good enough reason for the new 2-3 posts I'm going to make today to follow this one up.)
- My B-el heads are done and paid for! Gen did an excellent job!
- I'm going to send Frei off to her next (so the whole what-I'm-asking for post is next..)
- The Unoa Zero faceup tutorial is done being scanned, translated, and makes enough sense to post! (damn publication errors.
The only dolls with a finished faceup have been Esa (U-noa Lusis Yawn) and Gonbe (pipos Baha) and until I get more outfits for Esa and more props for Baha I can't get inspired to take pictures of them (read: all my pictures look like previous ones!)
SO onto the preview pics Gen sent me of Saruin! (Since the LeeKe preorder wig that will finish her off won't be shipping for a month more than likely)
I sent off my b-el and b-el madoromi/dozing faceplates off today. The estimated day of arrival is Tuesday. I got tracking on the package for my own piece of mind but I should have gotten insurance! I'll probably ask the aesthetic artist if i could pay her more to insure it on the way home but I'm probably just over reacting.
I also got the wigs and eyes i paid for the same day I paid for that August issue of Hobby Japan. It irritates me that the magazine isn't here as well, but that is probably because I want high resolution pictures of the Unoa Zero. No one else seems to have a scanner on DOA but me. (I'll be posting pictures of Esa in them within a few days, possibly tomorrow if I feel ok when I wakeup)
The eyelash tutorial that was in the September issue of Hobby Japan has been translated by the ever-useful, ever-darling Reiji and I'll repost that here when I have the time to. He was emailed the faceup tutorial for the Unoa Zero and hopefully whenever the August issue finally gets to me he'll help translate the assembly instructions as well.
This is just to from me to show the aesthetic artist what i want.. and I can remember what I asked for, lol..
Type of head: U-noa Quluts B-EL & B-EL Dozing
Default eyes: Silver gray
Default wig, bangs in the front that cover the right eye, with pieces that frame the face, long in the back (see photo, wig color is the last swatch)
Eyebrow: dark brown, arched in a manner that shows light anger/stress (see photo)
Eye shadow: smoky dark eyes (see photo)
Eye liner: black, there but not overbearing
Upper eyelashes: providing my own
Bottom eyelashes: dark brown, wispy, starting near tear duct short
then gradually getting longer by mid lowerlash line then getting short
again (see photos)
Lip: peachy/red center as if biting down on the
bottom lips, color fades out on both sides. use peach color for lip
lines no white
Blush: keep to a minimal, only blush to help colors flow naturally
Gloss: clear gloss on the lips
Saruin is very boyish in some traits and looks but she is still girlish.
She
is very protective, I'd like her worry and strength to show in her face
with her eyebrows, I want her eyes to be smokey but otherwise I don't
want her to have to look of wearing much makeup elsewhere. I'd like her
lips to be darkest in the middle and fade out on both sides, and I'd prefer the lines on the lips to be done in a peachy color and not
white. As for gloss like only very light gloss on the lips.
I found someone else to do my B-el and B-el madoromi/dozing faceplates, DOA user YamamuraTatsuya, after I go through the basics with her and get everything settled I'll be sending them off, sadly before my Sist gets done but what can I do about that really?
Seems like most of my paycheck will be going towards doll faceups. I'll be putting 50 aside for Aish to get done so whenever I get the PM from Lune I can send her off and not have to wait till my next payday. Then I'll also be shipping off 2 doll heads probably within a few days depending on how the correspondence goes.
I'm a bit disheartened already with the ebay user I bought August's issue of Hobby Japan magazine from. I used buy it now and paid immediately after DAYS ago and I just got a shipping notice 5 minutes ago that isn't even active yet (meaning it was probably shipped today). I expected to be getting it by today! When I sold things on ebay I shipped that stuff off as soon as people paid for it, not everyone is like that but still its not even a big package its just a rather thick magazine. I'm more peeved about it because its an ebay account of an actual brick-and-mortar store, not just some random person. Be more professional please!
I'm also still waiting for a wig and eyes from DOA user Aya Dear, which should be getting to me soon. Also waiting for the sweater I bought from Mio that I joined a group order to get. I ordered that sweater before I ordered the u-noa option parts which I got a long time ago. Mio is in very high demand and had tons of huge group orders (there were more than 12 people that I know of that were in the same order as I was..) so I was expecting a wait and there probably will still be one. Also waiting for the limited edition HG glass eyes that come with SD13 Cristal that I bought from Jenn which should also take a while.
I need to buy some gundam markers, and some water transfer film along with photo emulsion liquids to screen print with. I'm going to try to give Ivoine a tattoo on his back so I can use as an example so I can open up an aesthetics shop. I want to be able to do tattooing on dolls, so at least I'll have income to pay for the odds and ends such as eyes and wigs and the occasional faceup. It would be nice if they paid for themselves but I'm not pushing it lol. Also I need to finish saving at least 800 for Hrist (U-noa Zero Marion) and then work on getting Jomi his own body, Aish a mini supia body, or on Caelia the 43cm Narae I wanted long before the u-noa bug hit me. But then I still haven't settled on a skin tone for her...
